I am a Phys Ed Teacher based in Geelong, Australia. My lifes goal is to see kids excel and achieve their dream. My PE moto is DREAM, BELIEVE, ACHIEVE. Outside of the Gym I live a very active life. I train for Ironman Triathlons pushing myself to my own personal goals each day of the week.Geelong 70.3 Finish (blue shorts Red Top) I have completed over 200 fun runs ranging from 4km-Marathons. I have a marathon PB of 2hrs 52 mins and a 10km PB of 32:45. I once ran 50km when I was 18 through the bush at night time.(was meant to be 30km but I missed a turn).
I feel it is great to have role models and people to look up to. Apart from my kids who inspire me on a daily basis I follow very closely the life of Lance Armstrong. To be a world champion, on your death bed, Tour de France 7 x champion and now very likely an Ironman Champion is something that keeps me pedalling and swimming many hours each week. I use many of his inspirations in my classroom and all my students know who my role model is.
In 2011 I underwent a Hip Reconstruction that has slowed my running right down. I still have spent the summer competing though in Ocean Water Swim Races. Beyond 2012 I still have eyes of completing another Ironman. My goal race is Ironman Cairns in June 2013 all going well. My bucket list of events include: Cycling from Adelaide to Geelong, Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, Cycling from Echuca to Geelong, Ironman Hawaii, Tour De France (social ride), Ironman 70.3 Singpore and Hawaii.
